Recent story [Helen on Eighty-sixth street]

Helen on Eighty-sixth street is the short story. Vita is emotional, jealous, and childish girl who is also narrator in this story. She thought the ceremony can be achieved her three wishes; first is boyfriend of her mother is gone, second, she gets the Helen part in her school play. Last, she hopes her father come back home. Fortunately, first and second wishes turned out. However, she realized her father never come back. This story's ending is quite sad but I like this story. Because Vita is more practical character I've seen.

Summer movie + Advice from senior

In this summer, I'm going to watch several movies, especially 'edge of tomorrow'. Because usually, I like action movie and my friend told me it's really nice so I want to watch it. This movie is already released in Korea and Taiwan. When I go back to Korean, maybe I'm going to watch first.

Author for presentation [Roald Dalh]

I picked 'Roald Dalh' for my presentation. Because when I was young I read a book which is written by him and the title is 'the witches'. That time, for me, it's new world. That times I didn't believe any ghost or witches. But after I read the book, i thought 'maybe witches still live us in the world' so that times I didn't play outside with my friend and if I have to go out then i'm always with someone else for my safety. Result from that, I found book for reading which is written by him and I interested in reading a book. so that's why I picked this author.

recent reading & ice skating

1. review recent reading from class
I picked a sound of thunder which is we read in the class. A sound of thunder is written by Ray Bradbury and this story is about time machine and butterfly effect. This story begins in the future and that time the time machine already has been invented. One of the hunter want to hunt a dinosaur who is called Echels so he paid for traveling and Travis and Lesperance also join that traveling who are the hunting guide and assistance. Before they go back, they heard something important which is they must stay on a levitating path and only kill animals which were going to die. As planned, they go back to past and killed dinosaurs. During hunting, Echels suddenly disappeared and when they found him he already stepped the outside of path and a butterfly was stepped by him. However, they didn't realize that small thing makes big change. When they come back to their period,the elected candidate and English spelling was changed. I think in this story told us even small thing could change major things.

2.review recent school event
We went to ice skating on last 26th. When I lived in Korea, me and my friend or my family often went to ice skating. And last summer, Vivian, me, and other friends went to ice skating.so I expected more better rink I went. But the rink is same. I'm not disappoint but I hope it would be different one. Before I arrive to ice rink, Sharah and me talked about time; 2 hours too short for enjoying. However when we went there, we expected that time is enough to us. If we stay more longer, maybe we would be knock down when we go back to home. I mean that much I really enjoyed.

Science fair

My science fair project is about taste threshold but my original science topic is about peopl’s reaction time. I want to do that one but Mr. Ulsal said that’s too convoluted to do experiment and that’s not about biology and he kept suggestion to change topic to me and I changed. First, when I change my topic I think that’s good but later when I write about my experiment, this one also hard to write because it doesn’t have anything  to describe. Second, when I present my science board, that’s really really make me crazy, I really dislike and avoid to present. But I have to do that and when I present, I was so confused and my mental was spinning like a top and I don’t know what am I said during presentation, I just remember I was so shame. Third, later I find my mistakes on board so when parents read my board and asked me about my topic, I really notice about my board. Therefore, I mean I really don’t want to do science fair

In this story, one boy go to the hospital because he think a snake live in his stomach and a doctor think that’s not…. so he talked him around but the boy angry about the doctor disagree his thought so he told him depreciatingly. I think not only me, most of people think this part is related to background. (This story’s background is when India was control by British so some British look down Indian.)

The Sniper was written by Liam O’ Flaherty.

When I read this story, I just think boring story but this story has a shocking end that is the main character shoot and killed the against sniper. When he check the sniper, he see the sniper’s face and he got big shock because that man is his brother. I think the end is crazy how the family met enemy and how they both are sniper.

INTERESTING READING in class

I read three story in class and I pick two interesteing story. One is the neclace and the other one is the interlopers.

THE NECLACE (by Guy de Maupassant) is about the woman's greed. She was one of those pretty and charming girl and she was married to a minor clerk. But her domesticity is not so good and she thought she is so shabiness. when her husband know that, he suggest to her to go to party. she really like it but she become to dejected because she doesn't have any clothes or jewels she wanted; her husband bought new dress for her and she borrow her friend's necklace. After party, she senesed she lost the necklace but she didn't tell to her friend, she obtain money and buy real one. she live out to repay the debt her lifetime. One day, they're met againg, talk and talk. She told her the truth and ironically, her friend said that's fake.  

THE INTERLOPERS (by Saki) is about two guys' feud. In the story, the two guys (Georg and Ulrich)hate each other and always argue about forestland which has a lot of huntyees. One day,  Georg and Ulrich met in the forest when they're waitng for huntee. They hate each other and they ready to fight. Suddenly, the tree fall down and the guys were buried. when they were buried, they still play the peacock but later, they reconcile between the two and wait for they're friends. However, the wolves discover more faster than friends...and they would be die 

THE MOST DANGEROUS GAME

First day, Rainsford hid in tree, but Zaroff found him and let him escape.Second day,  Rainsford Burmese tiger, pit dog killed. Rainsford killed Zarorff's friends and some dogs by knife trap. Last day, Zaroff bring all of his dogs to kill Rainsford, and he fall on the cliff. Zaroff thought he died so he enjoyed his dinner. However, Rainsford doesn't die and he hid in the Zaroff's bedroom. When Zaroff come to his room and fall in sleep, Rainsford killed.
